We are focused on getting the talks started and we are doing everything possible for this, President Nicos Christodoulides said today, noting that September and October will be crucial months for the Cyprus problem.

In his remarks to reporters, while attending the funeral service for the victims of the Helios air tragedy, and asked if there is any news in relation to the letter he sent to the UN Secretary General for a joint meeting between himself, the UN Secretary General and the Turkish Cypriot leader, President Christodoulides said: "'No, there is nothing new, I did not expect there to be anything new, the letter left a few 24 hours ago, we should be patient."

Asked to refer to the statements on the part of Azerbaijan about the "flag" of the pseudo-state, the President said: "'Already there have been interventions and even strict interventions, and the EU itself towards Azerbaijan - you know that we do not have diplomatic relations - not only in this, but also in previous similar behaviour by this country, made strict interventions."

In response to a journalist's remark that information speaks of a draft solution from the United Nations, the President of the Republic said: "I have not heard, I have no such information. We are concentrating on starting the talks, we are doing everything possible, and September and October will be crucial."
