Voting is proceeding smoothly and voters continue to turn out at their local polling stations.
I would like to thank the voters for their impeccable behaviour, the presiding and assistant officials of the polling stations, as well as the staffs of the political parties and the independent candidates for their cooperation. I would also like to thank the secretariats of the Election Commissioners, the Chief and members of the Cyprus Police for their professionalism in fulfilling their duties, as well as the media for their cooperation and their contribution to the correct and objective information of the public on election issues.
Finally, I would like to express my special thanks to my colleagues at the Ministry of Interior, who have been working non-stop throughout this period, the Director and staff of the Press and Information Office, the Department of Information Services of the Ministry of State for Research, Innovation and Digital Policy and the Election Supervisors.
