Tryphon Samaras has spoken about the thefts he discovered taking place in his house for a year and a half.

The well-known hairdresser, who fell victim to a theft a few days ago, spoke to the Happy Day show and revealed that the person who was found in his house that night was an acquaintance of his and, in fact, had been robbing him for a year and a half.

"I was shocked by the robber, because I knew this man. As soon as the policemen took off his hood in front of me, I was shocked. I say... you? He was not my best friend, he was an acquaintance," he said initially.

He then explained that the robber had access to his house after he had taken out a duplicate key when he gave him his keys to bring him a coffee.

"He had come to my house once and I asked him to go and get me a coffee. He asked me for my house keys to open the door so he wouldn't ring my doorbell. I gave them to him and he went and got duplicate keys. For a year and a half he had the keys to my house and he came in at any time he wanted, that day it was at 2:30 in the night," he explained.

Finally, he said that he did not want the issue to get bigger and decided to give in to his anger and not to take legal action.

"I was really scared, but because it was also Christmas Day and it was his holiday, I gave in to my anger and did not sue. He apologized to me and said he would get my stuff and some money back for what he took from me," he concluded.
