New statement from the parents about the death of the three girls The revelation about the pregnancy, the position of the coroner
The parents of the three girls who died within three years in Patras were hosted on "Light at the Tunnel" with Angeliki Nikolouli. The mother, in fact, revealed that she terminated her pregnancy after she considered it immature to give birth to another child after what has happened.
"I have lost sleep. I'm trying to cope. There is no such thing as living. They see the killer everywhere like Caroline's case. We have undergone gene testing myself, my husband and the children in life and after they ended up," the mother of the three girls in Patras told MEGA, among other things.
The tests have been sent abroad and we are waiting for the results. I believe in the rare gene because the baby also had a rare syndrome from birth. I am angry about what happened to our family, it is a great injustice."
She even talked about her pregnancy, which she recently terminated after the developments. "It would be immature and dangerous for me to bring this child into the world after what happened. It is not easy, nor is it a game."
She got help from a psychologist - What she said about Georgina
"In the first loss I went to a psychologist at regular intervals, without medication, but there was Georgina back which was a huge strength," said the mother of three girls in Patras, speaking to Tunnel.
She also said, "I have grieved in the house quite a bit, but not as much as I would have liked. I still have it in me. Fortunately, I also had the help of my mother-in-law, mom, sister and husband.
I have not been in the girls' room at all. When her sisters went missing Georgina didn't comment on it at all except to go to her friends and say "I have to go and see my mum because she'll be crying and I don't want to". She would come with her dad and say "look dad and me. We're strong." My daughter was telling me to take off the black from the same year already."
And he added: "No matter what I say to the world, they will still turn against me. I came out and they still criticized me. He didn't cry, he didn't... no, no, no... What I stress is that it's good to have an opinion and respect all people's opinions, but not to the point of exaggeration. This thing has become an obsession."
Asked by the reporter if she has sought the help of a spiritual director or a specialist, she replied, "I have a spiritual director and I have also spoken to a psychiatrist, but she has had some issues of her own and has cancelled appointments and I haven't had time to go."
Indignant with what the father is hearing
The girls' father is outraged by what is being heard and written, and spoke to Tunnel about the war he and his wife are being subjected to.
"Through all this war that has been going on, we don't expect anyone to tell us who we are. We know very well what kind of parents we are, all we want is to know the reasons behind the death of our children. To know what happened.
That's why we filed the first lawsuit, which was filed, because we were looking for the cause of Malena's death. Whatever I have to say, I will say it once this case is over and I will say it very well and I am staying there," he said.
The position of coroner Sotiris Bouzianis
Coroner Sotiris Bouzianis, who conducted the autopsy for the 9-year-old girl, speaking to Tunnel, stressed that cardiac arrest is the result and not the cause of death.
"The cause of her death is undetermined. There is no clear picture of what could have caused it. Cardiac arrest is an atypical term. The next step is for the heart to stop working. We can't say it's a cardiogenic cause of death. It could be from other causes, which we do not know at this time.
The autopsy macroscopically found nothing, we are awaiting toxicology and histology tests. The two children had different causes. One had leukemia, the other had a heart problem. It's not about going to genetics. To go to genetics, all three kids had to come out with the same cause. With a predisposition, probably."
Sotiris Bouzianis also mentioned the possible causes of the 9-year-old girl's quadriplegia.
"For her to remain quadriplegic, there must have been no oxygenation of the brain. I can't know what could account for that. From the toxicology and histological examination, we can get some answers and see what caused the death. But the question is to find out what caused the non-oxygenation of the brain."
