Kiev wants to see actions not words from Putin, says Zelensky The Russian-Ukrainian crisis in a telephone conversation between Cavusoglu and Blinken

Ukraine seeks to see concrete steps from Russian President Vladimir Putin, to prove that he is serious about de-escalating tensions and withdrawing Russian troops from the border, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said today at a press conference with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron, who held talks with Putin in Moscow a day earlier.

"I think openness is always an excellent thing if it is true and not a game, but serious openness and understanding that there is a danger and that it is not a joke. In fact, I don't believe much in words, I think that every politician has an open attitude when he takes concrete steps. In our case, these are the steps for de-escalation," Zelensky said, adding that, in his view, for de-escalation Putin has everything at his disposal.

Russia-Ukraine crisis in phone call between Cavusoglu and Blinken

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu had a phone call today with his US counterpart Anthony Blinken during which they discussed the latest developments in the Russia-Ukraine crisis.

A Turkish Foreign Ministry statement said that Mevlut Cavusoglu briefed his US counterpart on the initiatives Turkey is taking to reduce tensions between the two countries through dialogue. They also discussed developments in Northern Syria. Mevlut Cavusoglu drew attention to the activities of the PKK-YPG in Syria, noting that Turkey's fight against the terrorist organizations will continue with determination.

According to the Turkish Foreign Ministry, the two ministers also discussed the latest developments in the Caucasus and the ongoing normalization process with Armenia. Mevlut Cavusoglu invited Anthony Blinken to the Antalya Diplomacy Forum on March 11-13, while the US Secretary of State sent wishes for a speedy recovery to the Turkish President and his wife.
