The lottery winner is not going to help his own people

A man who won the first lottery number has revealed that he does not intend to give any of his winnings to his family. The 24-year-old jackpot winner posted on Reddit that he won the €5 million jackpot, but made it clear that he will not spend a single penny on his loved ones.

"Me and my wife are 24 years old. Every month we buy a lottery ticket for fun. Well, we won a lot, about 5 million euros. After paying off all the debts we had (student loans, mortgages, car loan) we were left with about 4.5 million euros," he said.

"In case you don't know, 70% of lottery winners fail after a few years. I, being in the financial sector, would not want to be in the 70% so that I never have to work again," he added.

"What we did was to invest the 3 million in a combination of mutual funds as well as equity funds with an extremely low degree of risk. With the rest of the money we bought a five apartment complex that has cash flow and high yield with low risk," he added.

"When I told my family I thought the first reaction would be positive for me and they would hold me responsible for managing the money. But they started telling me about a big family trip, they wanted me to pay all their debts and more," he continued, however he informed them that he did not intend to give them money.

"I explained to them that 5 million is a lot of money, but it was not enough to start giving it away. Then they told me that I was not welcome in the family and not to speak to them again. I think I am doing the right thing for me and my partner," the super lucky man concluded.
