The 40-year-old man accused of indecent exposure to a 14-year-old minor in a hotel in Omonia insists on the line of denial.
His statement to the authorities raises new questions about persons who were in the hotel with them.
"We met by chance in Monastiraki at about 00:15 and we were talking with other friends and the time passed and the public transport was closed. I couldn't get back to Elefsina and decided to stay in a hotel because it was very cold outside. The minor didn't want to go home and in the middle of the conversation she said if she could come with me. With us in the hotel came a friend of hers, also a minor, with her boyfriend. I don't know them. They were cold too, so we went to the room and watched TV," said the 40-year-old, who is already on his way to jail.
In addition to his statement, in which he mentions persons who were in the hotel, cameras show two other persons entering the room 3030. Specifically, they are a minor and a friend, about whom the defendant is not giving more details.

For his part, the lawyer for the mother of the 14-year-old explained her concerns. "We are particularly concerned about what exactly happened in the room. In the coming time, plenty of light will be shed on the case. In no way can the accused be convinced, I don't think he was convincing in his apology," she tells the Star.
The accused denies having harmed the minor, while authorities await the conclusion of the forensic report. Meanwhile, sheets, quilts and pillowcases have been seized from the hotel.
The mother of the girl was the one who led the authorities to the 40-year-old, while she claims in her statement that she had seen him one other time with her daughter.
"I asked him what he was doing with my daughter and he told me that they had gone to eat kebabs and that he sees my daughter as his child and takes care of her. I told him that my daughter is only 13 years old and he has no business with her and I started shouting," the mother said in her statement.
The accused is a, and is himself a father of two children.
