Another dead elderly person in the black list of coronavirus deaths in a nursing home in Patras. Complaints of non-implementation of protocol.

The blacklist of deaths of elderly people from coronavirus in a private hospitality facility in Patras keeps growing.

After the 10 deaths of guests, recorded in the previous days, one more is added and brings the total number to 11 dead.

This is an elderly woman, who had been diagnosed with coronavirus and was hospitalized at the Patras University General Hospital. The unfortunate woman breathed her last in the morning of December 26, losing her battle with COVID-19.

According to tempo24.news, the 89-year-old woman had not been vaccinated for health reasons.

Angry relatives of the victims

In the last hours among the relatives of the elderly there is anger, indignation and pain.

In just a few days they have lost their beloved parents and grandparents, with the coronavirus making a regular foray into a place that was supposed to have been sealed off against the pandemic.

Already in recent days there has been communication between relatives about how to proceed from here.

The same reports say that it is certain that the case will not stay that way, with many considering taking the legal route, and in the coming days (or even hours) there will be developments on the part of the families.

It is recalled that despite what has seen the light of day, on the part of this structure, there has not been any response.

"There was no protocol"

As tempo24.news, the daughter of one of the elderly who died after contracting COVID-19, being unvaccinated, complains that the protocols applied were not strict.

Shocking is her reference to the managers of this particular facility who, she says, not only did not urge the elderly to be vaccinated, but instead told them that there was no coronavirus!

As she says, "checks were not carried out in the visiting rooms. I was personally thermographed. Not anything else. From September onwards, not even that. Once they asked me for a self-test."

The elderly man's daughter also refers to the staff of this facility, saying that there were unvaccinated people even after September 1, the day when the law on the suspension of work for unvaccinated people started.

"Among the staff until 14 September at least there were two unvaccinated people. I know this from their own testimony," she points out, while explaining why her father had not had the vaccine:

"My father was unvaccinated because he was thrombophilic and had a thrombosis," she says.

"Don't believe what they say about the coronavirus"

What is surprising is what she says about the managers of the facility, who not only did not encourage the elderly to get vaccinated, but on the contrary, as she claims, said that there is no coronavirus.

"There was no pressure from the managers of the institution in this direction (i.e. vaccination). Quite the contrary! Because my father had complete clarity, he was telling me that some of the staff did not believe that what was said about the coronavirus was true and not to believe it."
