The Department of Road Transport of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that it is accepting applications for the written examination for a Professional Driving Licence for the Taxi category, which will be held on Thursday and Friday, 25 and 26 April 2024, respectively, at 9:00 a.m.p.m. at the Kousimi Estate (Halepianes area), in Nicosia, Nicosia.
All candidates will be notified by personal letter, which will include general instructions regarding the terms and regulations of the examination, and a text message.
Application forms are available at the District Offices of the Road Transport Department, as well as at website of the Department.
Applications should be submitted to the Road Transport Department counters in all cities no later than April 5. After this date no application will be accepted.
The fee for participation in the written examination is set, in accordance with the Professional Driver's Licence (Amendment) Law of 2019 (Law 112(I)/2019), at €70.
It should be noted that all those who drive or wish to drive a taxi of any category must have a Professional Taxi Driver's Licence.

The syllabus for the above written examinations is contained in the book "Taxi Driver Training - SECOND EDITION (2.0) 2024", which has been changed and is available on the website of the Department of Road Transport.
Interested persons are invited to study carefully the said book in order to be able to successfully pass the above examinations.
The examinations will be conducted in Greek and Turkish language.
