I welcome with satisfaction today's approval by the House of Representatives of the first budget submitted by our Government. The passage of the State Budget for 2024 by the House of Representatives is an act of responsibility and a benchmark in the Government's efforts for the development of the country and the well-being of its citizens.
The first budget of our administration reflects our non-negotiable commitment to sound, sustainable and secure fiscal management, far from policies that jeopardize the economic stability of the country.

The first budget of our administration reflects our non-negotiable commitment to sound, sustainable and secure fiscal management, far from policies that jeopardize the economic stability of the country. A growth-oriented, surplus budget that maintains the necessary fiscal responsibility and creates hope and prospects for all the people.
The budget includes measures and policies that substantially support vulnerable groups of the population while strengthening the middle class, households and businesses, improving health services, upgrading our education system and enhancing the quality of life of our citizens. The management of issues such as the reduction of energy costs, the coverage of housing needs and the holistic approach to migration are key pillars of the policies that are being promoted and which have already yielded significant results. I also welcome the constructive contribution of all political forces and members of the Legislature in the formulation of the State Budget through their proposals and amendments.
