I express my deepest sorrow for the death of the teacher George Xenophontos Sertis, the tireless servant of Letters and a prolific columnist, a master of the Greek language with the caustic stylus. A free and agonistic spirit, George Xenophontos Sertis had as the axis of his life, but also of his interventions, the confrontation with injustice. A staunch democrat, he was always at the forefront of defending legality and freedom, values he served until the end of his life. To his wife and children I extend my sincere condolences.
