[PIO] Written statement by the Minister of Energy, Trade and Industry Mr. George Papanastasiou on the electrical interconnection between Israel

The Ministry of Energy, Trade and Industry of the Republic of Cyprus is pleased that the Independent Energy Transmission Operator of Greece (ADMIE) has undertaken the implementation of the electricity interconnection project between Israel, Cyprus, Crete and mainland Greece. The appointment of ADMIE as the implementing agency and project promoter, an organisation with extensive experience and expertise in completing projects of this magnitude, we believe ensures that the ambitious electrical interconnection project will be rapidly put on track for implementation.
