The President of the Republic tonight chaired a meeting with the Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) and the Ministers of Health, Finance, Education, Labour and Justice and the Deputy Minister of Innovation, the Government Spokesperson, the Deputy Government Spokesperson and officials.
During the meeting, the situation regarding the development of the pandemic, the data in the state hospitals and the development of the vaccination programme were discussed, among other things. Also discussed were the additional measures recommended by the scientists to deal with the outbreak of cases observed in our country in recent days.
The meeting was held in a constructive atmosphere and the President had the opportunity to listen to the views and opinions of those present.
The measures, which have been recommended by the experts will be discussed at tomorrow's Cabinet meeting for decision making.
The President thanked the members of the SSC for their substantial contribution to the whole effort being made to keep the situation manageable.
We reiterate once again that addressing the health crisis requires the assistance of all of us.
