[PIO] Written statement by the Government Spokesman Mr. Constantinos Letibiotis regarding the decision of the Council of Ministers to send assistance

As part of the Republic of Cyprus' response to send humanitarian aid to the civilian population in the Gaza Strip, the Republic of Cyprus has decided to contribute by providing medicines and consumables.

The Council of Ministers approved the donation of 70 items of medicines worth €79,414.90 and 4 items of consumables, the value of which amounts to €15,218.

The additional financial assistance through UNRWA, the World Food Program (WFP), UN OCHA and the ICRC, amounting to €1.1 million, announced by the President at the Paris Conference, to channel humanitarian aid to the civilian population of Gaza, is recalled.
