The first official visit of the President of Montenegro to Cyprus will take place from tomorrow, June 6 to June 8, when President Jakov Milatović will be received at the Presidential Palace by the President of the Republic Mr.Nicos Christodoulides.
President Milatović, who will be accompanied by his wife, will arrive in Cyprus tomorrow morning and shortly afterwards will be officially received by the President of the Republic, with whom he will have a private meeting followed by extended talks between the delegations of the two countries.
Among the issues to be discussed will be bilateral relations, the current situation in the Cyprus problem, regional and international developments, as well as Montenegro's accession process to the European Union (EU).
Subsequently, the two Presidents will make statements to the media and then attend a formal lunch hosted by the President of the Republic and his wife Mrs. Philippa Karserra Christodoulides.
In the afternoon, the President of Montenegro will have a meeting with the Speaker of the House of Representatives at the House of Representatives, after which he will go to the Nicosia City Hall, where he will have a meeting with the Mayor of the city and tour the old town along the ceasefire line.
In the evening, the President of Montenegro will attend a dinner hosted in his honour by the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The following morning, 7 June, President Milatovic will have a meeting with the Archbishop of Cyprus and then go to Limassol, where he will have the opportunity to tour the city. He will then visit the village of Omodos.
President Milatovic and his entourage will leave Cyprus on 8 June.
