President Nicos Anastasiades' agenda for the next few days is full. It includes consultations, meetings, including with the Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia, the confirmation ceremony of the new Deputy Chief of Police, while he will also participate in the 6th European Union-African Union Summit in Brussels, on the sidelines of which he will have important meetings.
Sunday 13 February
On Sunday 13 February, the President of the Republic will attend and address the celebration of St. Maron at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Charity in Paphos Gate. He will then have a meeting with Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister Prince Faisal Bin Farhan Al-Saud. The meeting will discuss bilateral relations and cooperation between Cyprus and Saudi Arabia as well as developments in the Eastern Mediterranean and the Gulf region.
Monday 14 February
On Monday 14 February, the confirmation ceremony of the new Deputy Chief of Police, Mr Demetris Demetriou, will take place. President Anastasiades will then receive the annual report of the Gender Equality Commissioner Josephine Antoniou.
Tuesday 15 February
On Tuesday 15 February he will meet with the Speaker of the House of Commons of the United Kingdom Sir Lindsay Hoyle. He will brief him on the latest developments on the Cyprus issue and they will also discuss bilateral relations. Afterwards, the President will chair a meeting of the Council of Ministers.
Wednesday 16 February
On Wednesday 16 February, President Anastasiades will depart for Brussels. He will participate in the 6th European Union-African Union Summit which will take place on 17 and 18 February. At the Summit, the leaders are expected to discuss ways in which the two continents can build greater prosperity. The aim is to launch an ambitious Africa-Europe investment package, taking into account global challenges such as climate change and pandemics. On the sidelines of the Summit, the President of the Republic is expected to hold important meetings and discuss issues related to Cyprus.
