The President of the Republic, Mr.Nicos Anastasiades, will have a busy schedule in the coming days, as he has convened a series of meetings to be informed about the progress of ongoing projects, to address issues that have arisen and to take decisions on further steps.

Friday, 4 February

Tomorrow, Friday, the President's agenda includes three consecutive meetings related to sport. President Anastasiades is expected to be briefed on the situation in the stadiums with particular emphasis on security, both in terms of facilities and the safety of spectators and athletes.

At 10:30 a.m. a meeting will be held with the President of the COA Andreas Michaelides in the presence of the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth Prodromos Prodromos on the Code of Good Governance of Cyprus Sports Federations.

A little later, at 11:10 a.m. a meeting has been scheduled which will focus on the athletics stadiums. The COA, COEAS and the Stadium Licensing Authority will participate.

The third meeting for tomorrow is scheduled for 11:40 am and will discuss the issue of stadium facilities. The COA, the CMP and the Stadium Licensing Authority have been invited in the presence of the Minister of Finance.

Monday, February 7

President Anastasiades' next week will begin with a sports-related topic. The Presidents of the Limassol Clubs, Apollon, AEL and Aris will meet at the Presidential Palace next Monday in the presence of the President of the CAA. The subject of discussion will be the progress of the works at the new Limassol stadium.

Tuesday, February 8

On Tuesday, February 8, the President of the Republic will deal with issues related to the social housing programmes implemented by the Government. He will first hold a meeting with the Ministers of Finance and Interior and the President of the CIG on the policies implemented through the agency, followed by a second meeting with the Ministers of Labour and Energy to review the government's social housing programme.

Wednesday, 9 February

On Wednesday, 9 February, the President's agenda will include agricultural issues. He will meet with the West Nicosia Farmers' Coordination Committee in the presence of the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment.

Through these meetings, in addition to the information he receives on various issues, the President of the Republic demonstrates in a clear way that he is close to the citizens, ready to address their problems.

Thursday, 10 February

At the invitation of the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, President Anastasiades will leave for Brest, France, where he will participate in the "One Ocean Summit".
