The President of the Republic Mr. Nicos Christodoulides received today at Larnaca Airport the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, who arrived in Cyprus this afternoon for an official visit, at the invitation of President Christodoulides.
At Larnaca Airport, the President of the Republic was accompanied by Government Ministers, while two children dressed in traditional costumes welcomed the Emir of Qatar by offering him flowers.
A brief meeting between the President of the Republic and the Emir of Qatar followed, during which the two leaders underlined the friendly relations between their two countries, noting that they look forward to the talks they will have tomorrow at the Presidential Palace.
Tonight President Christodoulides and the Emir of Qatar will attend a private dinner.
