[PIO] Written reply of the Government Spokesman Mr. Constantinos Letibiotis to the Press Spokesman of DISY

The populism of DISY's press spokesman surpasses any precedent.

Koullas continues to praise the Government, which for the first time in the history of the Republic of Cyprus regulated the issue of consultants by legislation, finally ensuring transparency around this issue.

We expect Mr Koullas and any other interested party to contact Parliament and the Audit Office to confirm whether the Government has submitted a full list of all consultant-partners. We have nothing to hide.

Finally, the DISY leadership can appeal to the relevant Commissioner.

It is of particular interest to note the avoidance of any reference to the non-existence of a similar regulation for parliamentary associates, because obviously there is neither the corresponding will nor the slightest political sensitivity. Transparency cannot be selective nor heterodox.
