May 12 is dedicated to nurses, who are one of the most important pillars of health systems worldwide. On the occasion of this day, the State Health Services Organisation (SHSO) expresses its respect, appreciation and support to all nurses working in its units.
As the largest health service provider in Cyprus, SHSO employs the largest number of nursing staff, numbering more than 3,500 people. The Organization recognizes that nursing is one of the most important and demanding branches of the health care system, as it requires specialized knowledge, excellent scientific training and at the same time high mental reserves, empathy and dedication.
The nurses of the Organization work tirelessly in order to provide quality and effective care to patients, contributing substantially to the treatment of simple, difficult and complex cases on a daily basis.
The HCMC thanks its nursing staff for their professionalism and altruism and reiterates its commitment to remain supportive of the work they do, committed to providing essential care to all citizens of the country without exception.
