[PIO] Withdrawal of unsuitable cosmetic products from the European market

The Rapid Information Exchange Network (RAPEX), in its latest notification, informs Member States that the following cosmetic products have been identified and withdrawn in Europe:

To The product has been withdrawn because it contains an increased microbiological load that can cause infections such as pneumonia, wound infections and sepsis, especially in immunocompromised patients.

The product was sold online.

The product does not comply with the provisions of the European Cosmetics Regulation (EC) 1223/2009.

This product has been withdrawn because the eraser included in the packaging contains the banned substance dibutyl phthalate (DBP).

This substance may harm the health of children, causing possible damage to their reproductive system.

The product does not comply with the provisions of the European Cosmetics Regulation (EC) 1223/2009.





For the above products there is no clear information regarding their exporting countries. For this reason, the Pharmaceutical Services are conducting an investigation to identify the products on the market and urge the public who may be in possession of these products to discontinue their use or, if they find them, to contact the Pharmaceutical Services on 22608606 and 22608678.
