The Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy informs citizens and businesses that the CovScan Cyprus application has been adapted in accordance with the provisions of the Infectious Diseases Orders of the Ministry of Health (No. 18.2.2022 και Αρ.11 ημερ. 23.2.2022).

As of today, 24 February 2022, the application allows the user to select a site/substance on the basis of which the control regulations corresponding to each site will be automatically loaded. More information on the control regulations can be found in this table:https:/wiki.eudcc.gov.cy/MeasuresSummaryTableEL.pdf.

Control via the app is done by scanning the QR code on the certificate. Depending on the measures applicable to the specific site/establishment, the CovScan Cyprus application will show the following results.

- Green: the certificate is valid

- Red: the certificate is not valid

The new upgrade aims to simplify Safepass checks and provide new possibilities to confirm the authenticity of the European Digital Certificate COVID (EUDCC).

It is noted that citizens will not need to re-issue/renew their certificate as this upgrade concerns only the CovScan Cyprus application.

As a reminder, in order to use the above functions, it is necessary to update CovScan to version 1.5.7.

Frequently asked questions on how the application works can be found at the link: EUDCC Portal
