[PIO] Visit of the Commissioner for Rural Payments to the Payment and Control Agency for Community Aid for Guidance and Guarantee in Greece

The Commissioner for Rural Payments, Mr. Andreas Evangellou and other members of the Cyprus Agricultural Payments Agency (CAP) paid an official visit to the Payment and Control Agency for Community Support for Guidance and Guarantee (OPEKEPE) of Greece, in Athens, on 23 November 2023. This visit took place in the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two Paying Agencies last year.

During the visit, a meeting was held with the President of OPEKEPE Mr. Evangelos Simandrakos, the Vice President of OPEKEPE Mr. Kyriakos Babasidis and other OPEKEPE executives.

The meeting discussed and exchanged views and know-how on issues such as the Active Farmer audit process, the preparation of the Annual Performance Report (APR), the process of implementing AMS, LPIS, GSAA quality audits, the Legal Occupancy audit, the fight against fraud, etc.etc.
