[PIO] Visit of a delegation of the Ministry of Defence at the 3rd International Defence Exhibition

A delegation of the Ministry of Defence - GSDF, led by the Director General of the Ministry of Defence, Mr. Andreas P. Loukas, attended the 3rd International Defence Exhibition organized by the Arab Republic of Egypt in Cairo on 4 - 7 December 2023.

The exhibition was inaugurated on 4 December 2023 by President Sisi in the presence of a large number of foreign dignitaries. The Republic of Cyprus was represented by the Director General of the Ministry of Defence, Mr. Andreas P. Louka.

The Egyptian Defence Exhibition is the largest organised in the region and is attended by the world's most renowned defence industries. The Cypriot company CyRIC is also taking part in this year's exhibition.

On the sidelines of the visit, the delegation of the Hellenic Ministry of Defence - GSAF went on a pilgrimage to the historic Holy Monastery of St. George in Old Cairo, where they were warmly welcomed by the Abbot of the Monastery.
