Specifically, during her stay in Valletta, Mrs.Irene Charalambidou will hold meetings with the Attorney General of Malta Dr.Victoria Buttigiec, the Director General of the Ministry of Justice and Construction Sector Reform Mr. Johan Galea, as well as with members of the Standing Committee against Corruption. Ms Charalambidou will also visit the Daphne Caruana Galizia Foundation, where she will have a meeting with the son of the murdered Maltese journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia, Mr. Matthew Caruana Galizia.
The visit to Malta will conclude on 14/6/2024 with three meetings, the delegation of the Maltese Parliament to the OSCE CS and the delegations of two NGOs in the country (Repubblika and Occupy Justice).
The subject of Ms Charalambidou's contacts will be the recent constitutional reforms and the rule of law in Malta. Ms Charalambidou will be accompanied by Ms Crystallo Argyridou, Senior Officer for European Affairs of the Parliament and Mr Sherif Abdili (Programme and Administrator Officer) on behalf of the OSCE CSO.
