[PIO] Vaccinations against COVID-19 of the residents of the Municipality of Lefkara and the wider area

The Ministry of Health continues its efforts to increase vaccination coverage of the population against COVID-19 and particularly to increase booster dose vaccinations, given its importance in boosting the immunity of groups of the population that are more prone to serious disease and hospitalization.

In consultation with the Minister of Health Mr. On Friday, January 7, 2022, from 9 in the morning until 3 in the afternoon, a mobile vaccination unit will be at the Lefkara Conference Centre to vaccinate the residents of the wider area.

Ministry of Health officials will be on site to inform people about the benefits of vaccination, as well as to answer people's questions and concerns about vaccination.

Only the following groups of citizens will be eligible for vaccination by the mobile unit:

- Individuals, aged 12 years and above, who have not yet been vaccinated against COVID-19 (administration of 1st dose).

- Individuals, aged 12 years and older, who have received the 1st dose of Moderna or Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine and the period required for the 2nd dose (Moderna 4 weeks and Pfizer 3 weeks) has elapsed (Moderna 4 weeks and Pfizer 3 weeks).

- As regards booster/3rd dose vaccination, persons aged 18 years and over will be served, provided that a period of 5 months and 2 weeks has elapsed since their 2nd dose vaccination.

- For persons who have received the Johnson & Johnson single dose vaccine, they will be able to receive a booster dose with the same vaccine or with a mRNA technology vaccine (Moderna).

As a reminder, all persons will be required to present proof of identification (ID card, passport, Alien Registration Card, etc.), as well as the vaccination card if they will receive the 2nd or 3rd dose.
