As part of the preparation of the national report with the analysis of epidemiological data on the coronavirus pandemic, the Ministry of Health has proceeded to update the database it maintains on cases, having recorded and verified all the data reported in previous months to the Epidemiological Surveillance Unit.
This check shows that the total number of cases up to 14 March is 355,493 and not 356,784 as the total on which yesterday's regular update was based.
The practice of updating databases is implemented by all Member States at regular intervals, both for transparency purposes and for the correct and comprehensive recording of epidemiological surveillance data.
Therefore, as of today's daily release, new cases will be added to the total number of 366,452.
