\n ΜΕΘΟΔΟΛΟΓΙΚΕΣ ΠΛΗΡΟΦΟΡΙΕΣ\n \n Ορισμοί\n \n Tourists - Considered as visitors who stay at least one night in Cyprus.\n \n Tourist arrivals - The term refers to the number of visits and not to the number of persons. This differs in the sense that a person may make more than one visit in the given reference period.\n \n Source of data and coverage \n Data for November 2021 were derived from the processing of data from the online platform "Cyprus Flight Pass". Passengers wishing to travel to Cyprus were required to enter into this online platform various information regarding their flight, their country of residence, the purpose of their visit, as well as other demographic data. These data were used by the Statistical Office to estimate the number of tourists arriving during the reference period. The extrapolation of the data was based on data sent to the Statistical Service by the Civil Aviation Department and from ship passenger lists, as well as data sent by the Analysis and Statistics Bureau of the Cyprus Police. \n Due to problems arising from the completion of the data by the passengers themselves, it was not possible to further analyse the data by country of usual residence.\n \n For more information:\n \n Statistics Service Portal, Tourism CYSTAT-DB (Database) Defined Tables (Excel)\n \n Contact Lucia Panagidou: Tel.
