Krakow was visited today by the President of the Republic Mr.Nicos Christodoulides, who is concluding his official visit to Poland.
President Christodoulides, accompanied by his wife Mrs. Philippa Karsera Christodoulides and members of the Cypriot delegation, visited today, as part of the first official visit of a Cypriot President to Poland, the city of Krakow, where he visited the Yagiellonian University.
At the University, the President of the Republic was welcomed by the rectorial authorities and signed the visitors' book.pio.gov.cy/en/press-releases-article.html?id=41812#flat]speech[/URL] before students and answered their questions.
He then toured the University Museum and laid a wreath at the Sonderaktion Krakau monument.
Afterwards, the President and his entourage went to Rynek Główny Square, where they toured the historical centre of the city, including the Wawel Castle, and laid a wreath at the grave of the Kaczyński presidential couple.
In the afternoon the President attended a lunch hosted in his honour by the Governor of Minor Poland.
The President and his entourage will return to Cyprus tonight.
