The President of the Hellenic Republic, Mr Nicos Christodoulides, visited today the Sustainable City located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, where he toured its premises.
The President was received at the city's Social Energy and Economic Institute (SEE) by the President of the Institute, Mr. Faris Saeed, who briefed President Christodoulides on the sustainable ways in which the city operates.
As mentioned during their meeting, the city is built on half a million square meters of land and consists of 500 residential units, schools, a hospital, shops, restaurants, parks and organic greenhouses.
The city manages in a fully ecological and sustainable manner, among other issues related to water supply, energy, transportation and waste. The President and the members of the Cypriot delegation accompanying him to Dubai were then taken on a tour of the Sustainable City in electric vehicles.
