[PIO] The President of the Republic pays an official visit to Serbia

The President of the Republic Mr.Nikos Christodoulides arrived in Belgrade today, where he begins his two-day official visit to Serbia. At 3 p.m. (Cyprus time), the President will be received by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic at the Presidential Palace in Belgrade, followed by their private meeting.

An enlarged meeting of the delegations of the two countries will then take place, followed by statements by the two leaders (at 4:20 p.m. Cyprus time). In the evening he will attend a dinner hosted by the President of Serbia in his honour.

Tomorrow (12:30 p.m. Cyprus time) the Cyprus-Serbia Cooperation Council meeting will take place, with the participation of the Cypriot Foreign Ministers, Mr. Mr. Konstantinos Kobos, Mr. Michael Yiorgallas, Mr. Athena Michailidou, Ms. Athena Michailidou, Mr. Konstantinos Letibiotis, Mr. Doros Venezis, Deputy Director of the Diplomatic Office of the President, and officials.

The Council will be preceded by bilateral meetings between the Ministers and their Serbian counterparts.

Within the framework of the Council, Memoranda of Understanding will be signed between the two countries in the fields of education, science, innovation and advanced technologies, as well as cooperation between the Diplomatic Academies of the two countries.

The meeting will be followed by a working lunch hosted by Serbian Prime Minister Anna Brnabic in honour of the President of the Republic of Cyprus and his accompanying delegation.

The President of the Republic will also have a meeting with Patriarch Porphyry of Serbia at the Patriarchate of Serbia.
