[PIO] The President of the Republic met with the Prime Minister of Greece

Greece and Cyprus are in full coordination, said the President of the Republic Mr Nikos Christodoulides and the Prime Minister of Greece Mr Kyriakos Mitsotakis, following their meeting in New York yesterday afternoon.

After their meeting, the President of the Republic said: "I want to express my satisfaction with what I have heard from the Greek Prime Minister. Our efforts are continuing, they are joint, coordination is ongoing and, I repeat, I welcome everything I have heard."

For his part, when asked about his meeting with the Turkish President, Mitsotakis said that he had made statements about the meeting with Erdogan, adding that "the talks took place in a good atmosphere. On the other hand, it was an opportunity to reiterate our firm positions on the Cyprus issue in full coordination always with the President."
