The President of the Republic Mr.Nikos Christodoulides had a private meeting with the President of Egypt Mr.Abdel Fattah El-Sisi this afternoon.
The meeting took place at the Presidential Palace, in Cairo, in the framework of the Egyptian President's meeting with European leaders regarding the Strategic and Comprehensive Partnership between the European Union and Egypt.
The President of the Republic arrived at the Presidential Palace at around 14:00, where he was received by his Egyptian counterpart and then attended a bilateral meeting.
During the meeting, the two Presidents briefly reviewed the wide range of the excellent bilateral relations between Cyprus and Egypt and discussed regional developments, while President Christodoulides briefed President Sisi on the latest developments on the Cyprus issue.
