The President of the Hellenic Republic, Mr Nicos Christodoulides, arrived in Rome early this afternoon, where later today he will hold a meeting with the political leadership of Italy.
In the late afternoon, the President of the Republic will meet with the President of Italy Mr. Sergio Mattarella, while later he will have a working meeting with the Italian Prime Minister Mrs. Giorgia Meloni.
During the meetings they will discuss developments in the region, the Republic of Cyprus' initiative for the creation of a sea corridor for the provision of humanitarian aid to Gaza, the migration issue and our side's efforts to resume negotiations on the Cyprus problem.
The President of the Republic is accompanied in Rome by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Constantinos Kombos, the Government Spokesman Mr. Constantinos Letibiotis, the Ambassador of the Republic to Italy Mr. George Christofides and the Director of the Diplomatic Office of the President of the Republic, Mrs Marilena Raouna.
