[PIO] The President of the Parliament signed the book of condolences on the death of the former President of Finland Martti Ahtisaari

The Speaker of the House of Representatives Anita Demetriou signed today the book of condolences opened at the residence of the Ambassador of Finland in Nicosia on the death of former President Martti Ahtisaari.

In her message of condolence, the President noted that Martti Ahtisaari will always be remembered for his visionary leadership and exemplary dedication to the promotion of peace and conflict resolution.

In these critical times, may Martti Ahtisaari's legacy be a beacon of inspiration, perseverance and determination for all leaders in our struggle for a more peaceful world.

In conclusion, the President of the Parliament expresses personally and on behalf of all Members of Parliament, her sincere condolences to the family of the deceased and to the Government, the Parliament and the friendly people of Finland.
