The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mrs. In her letter, Ms Demetriou expresses her and all the Members of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Cyprus' warm congratulations on the unanimous election of Mr.
Ms Demetriou expresses her confidence that Mr Roussopoulos will lead the CSCE with a view to upholding the principles and values of the Council of Europe and that, under his leadership, the Assembly will respond adequately to today's complex challenges. It assures the new President of the CSCE of the full support of the House of Representatives in his difficult task.
Through the multi-level cooperation and synergies developed by our parliaments within the framework of the Assembly, we can contribute to strengthening the reach and credibility of the CSTO throughout the European area and to the strengthening and reinforcement of our democratic institutions, human rights and the rule of law, the President of the House of Representatives concludes in her letter.
