The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mrs Anita Demetriou expressed her great pleasure for the award of the Karaiskakio Foundation, in the framework of the 16th General Assembly of the Mediterranean Parliamentary Assembly (MPA). The Karaiskakio Foundation's nomination was proposed to the CSM by the House of Representatives.
The annual prizes awarded by the CMC, noted the Speaker of the Parliament, honour outstanding personalities and organisations for their activities in the political, economic, social, cultural, scientific, sports, journalistic and artistic communities, as well as for their contribution to the promotion of the objectives of the Assembly and cooperation between the peoples of the Mediterranean.
I warmly congratulate the Karaiskakio Foundation on this award, in recognition of its commendable scientific and social work and its rich activity in the field of research and innovation. The Speaker of the Parliament wished the Karaiskakio Foundation to continue its invaluable contribution to society, science and humanity, noting even more successes.
