The President of the House of Representatives, Mrs. Anita Demetriou, hosted today, December 28, a working lunch for the Cypriot MEPs, in the framework of her announced initiative to strengthen the institutional cooperation between the House of Representatives and the Cypriot MEPs.
During the meeting, issues of specific and wider European interest were discussed, while there was also an exchange of views on how to solve the practical problems that arise during the examination of European issues both at the national parliamentary level and at the level of the European Parliament. In the same context, the unanimous will of all parties was expressed to establish regular communication in order to have a timely exchange of views on topical issues of European interest and to make the existing framework for the examination of such issues at national and European level more effective.
