[PIO] The Presidency of the Republic and the Office of the Commissioner for Gender Equality, in cooperation with the Institute for Gender Equality

The President of the Republic of Cyprus, on Tuesday 28 March 2023, announced the award of ten scholarships to women with Cypriot citizenship for undergraduate studies in fields related to innovation, research and technology in memory of Christiana Kouta, an academic and defender of gender equality and women's rights.

To implement this announcement of the President of the Republic of Cyprus, the Office of the Gender Equality Commissioner, in consultation with the Cyprus State Scholarships Foundation (CSF), proceeded with the preparation of all the necessary documents for the announcement of the ten scholarships for the current academic year 2023-2024. It is noted that the scholarships are addressed to women over 30 years old. For each year, the scholarships will be awarded to ten women over 30 years of age for studies related to research and innovation.

The application period for the academic year 2023-2024 starts on Friday 22 December 2023, at 07:30 am, and ends on Friday 19 January 2024, at 03:00 p.m.

Interested parties can obtain detailed information about these scholarships and obtain the application form, which should be completed and submitted via the IKYK website.

Applications should be submitted to the IHU in paper form (by hand, by post or by courier companies) or electronically at info@ikyk.mof.gov.cy.

Applications must be clearly legible and be accompanied by all the required certificates applicable to each case.

The application timetable will be strictly adhered to; therefore, late applications will not be accepted.
