The Ministry of Defence and the GSF assure that, from the very first moment, they are by the side of the injured and his relatives, providing them with all possible psychological support and facilitation regarding their stay in Cyprus.
The Ministry of Defence also assures that it has taken all the necessary steps, in accordance with the procedures, to ensure that the injured ELDYK soldier is immediately transferred to a hospital and receives the best possible medical treatment and care.
From the very first moment, a thorough investigation is underway to investigate the circumstances and causes that led to the soldier's injury.
The Ministry of Defence and the National Guard are focusing on preserving medical confidentiality and avoiding actions and statements that aggravate the emotional state of the victim, his family, colleagues, as well as the National Guard personnel as a whole.
Any additional statements may interfere with the investigative work and lead to the drawing of premature and possibly arbitrary conclusions.
