[PIO] The Minister of State for Development, Francophonie and International Cooperation of the French Republic will visit Cyprus

The Minister of State for Development, Francophonie and International Cooperation of the French Republic, Ms Chrysoula Zacharopoulou will pay a working visit to Cyprus on Monday 4 December 2023.

In the framework of the visit, she will have a private meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Constantinos Kombos, followed by extended consultations with the participation of delegations of the two Ministries. At the end of the consultations, the two Ministers will make statements to media representatives. Finally, Mr Kombos will host a working lunch in honour of Ms Zacharopoulou and her delegation.

The discussions are expected to confirm the excellent level of bilateral relations and the commitment of both sides to further strengthen and deepen them. The Ministers will also discuss the situation in the Middle East and Africa. The Foreign Minister will brief Ms Zacharopoulou on the latest developments on the Cyprus issue and the efforts our side is making to resume negotiations.

During her presence in Cyprus, Ms Zacharopoulou will be received by the President of the Republic Mr Nicos Christodoulides and will visit the Franco-Cypriot School in Nicosia in the presence of the Minister of Education, Sports and Youth Ms Athena Michaelides.
