[PIO] The Minister of Health will participate in the work of the Global Climate Action Summit at the 28th United Nations Conference on Climate Change

Health Minister Dr Poppy Kanari travelled today to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, where she will participate in the work of the Summit on Global Climate Action at the 28th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28).

In the framework of the Summit, a special meeting of Ministers of Health will be held for the first time, bringing together Ministers from 50 countries and focusing on the impact of climate change on health.

The Minister of Health will take part in the dialogue of the Member States of the European Region and will address the participants on the serious impact of climate change on health that Cyprus is facing and will report on initiatives and actions that Cyprus has developed to this end.

In the context of the Conference, he will also attend events that will take place on the margins of COP28.
