The Minister of Health, Dr. Popi Kanari, had a meeting with the leadership of the Ecologists - Citizens' Movement today.
In her statements before the start of the meeting, Dr Kanari said that the Ecologists' Movement has raised several issues, which mainly concern the upgrading of the Makareio Hospital, the Troodos Hospital and the Gregorian Clinic.
"I am sure that there will be a very good exchange of views on all the issues and we are happy because through these meetings the Ministry's effort to promote strategies and solve problems facing the health sector is strengthened. Any assistance from the Parliamentary Groups is useful and welcome," the Minister noted.
Asked whether there are any bills that the Ministry is advancing in Parliament for which the support of the Ecumenical Movement will be sought, Dr Kanari said that the Ministry of Health is looking forward to the support of all parties.
"There are bills that were tabled before the conclusion of the work of Parliament as well as others that will be tabled in the coming weeks in Parliament. The immediate promotion of the bills will contribute to the upgrading of the health sector," he concluded.
