The issue of upgrading the Hospital of Polis Chrysochous was the focus of a meeting today between the Minister of Health, Dr. Popi Kanari, and the Mayor of Polis and the community leaders of the wider area. The meeting, which was held at the City Hall of the City of Chrysochous, was also attended by the leadership of the OCYPY and the OAI.
In her remarks, Dr. Kanari noted that the residents of the City of Chrysochous and the wider region, who number over 30,000, deserve and must receive the best possible medical services.
We need to upgrade the services offered, he added, so that the residents of the area do not have to go to other hospitals. He noted that the Golden City Hospital will be strengthened with a general practitioner, while services need to be added, he said, in the ambulance sector as well.
In cooperation with the OAI and the OKYPY, he concluded, we will promote an action plan for the upgrading of the hospital at a fast pace.
