The High Commissioner of the Republic of Cyprus to the Republic of Ghana, based in Cairo, Mrs. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, during an official ceremony held on Friday, 23 February 2024, at the Presidential Jubilee House, in the capital Accra.
Ms Ioannou conveyed to the President of Ghana the warm greetings of the President of the Republic, Mr. Polis Ioannou. Nikos Christodoulides along with his wishes for peace and prosperity for the people of Ghana, and expressed her commitment to work to strengthen relations between the two countries in various fields, as well as their cooperation, both bilaterally and within the framework of the European Union.
Welcoming the new High Commissioner of Cyprus, President Akufo-Addo congratulated her on her assumption of office, wishing her every success in her work and stressing that she will have the full support of himself and the government of the country in strengthening relations between the two countries. The President of Ghana asked Mrs. Ioannou to convey to the President of the Republic his warm greetings and wishes for the progress and prosperity of the Cypriot people.
