Foreign Minister Dr Constantinos Kombos participated in the trilateral meeting of the Cyprus-Greece-Egypt Foreign Ministers, which took place yesterday, 22 September 2023, on the sidelines of the High-Level Week of the 78th UN General Assembly, in New York.
The trilateral meeting with the Foreign Ministers of Greece Mr. George Gerapetritis and Egypt Mr. Sameh Hassan Shoukry reviewed the substantial progress achieved in various areas of cooperation such as defence, energy and diaspora issues.
The Ministers also discussed preparations for the 10th Summit, which is expected to be held in Egypt soon, and exchanged views on a number of regional issues of concern to the international community.
After the trilateral meeting, the Foreign Minister held a bilateral meeting with his Egyptian counterpart, during which bilateral cooperation was discussed, as well as ways of deepening the strategic relationship between Cyprus and Egypt.
