The first series of provincial information evening meetings for parents/guardians and students of Secondary Education, organized by the Counselling and Vocational Education Service of the Directorate of Secondary General Education of the Ministry of Education, was a great success, Culture, Sports and Youth, in cooperation with the Pancyprian Confederation of Federations of Associations of Parents' Associations of Public Secondary Schools and with the support of the Cyprus Association of Secondary School Teachers.The meetings were held according to the programme below: Famagusta on 8/2/2022, Nicosia on 9/2/2022, Limassol on 10/2/2022, Larnaca on 11/2/2022 and Paphos on 15/2/2022.
During the meetings, presentations were made by S.E.A. teachers on "Orientations after Secondary School and the Access System to Public Higher Education in Cyprus and Greece". Through this topic, the audience had the opportunity to learn about the options offered by the educational system after high school, as well as the way and the admission process to the Public Higher and Higher Educational Institutions of Cyprus and Greece. In addition, parents/guardians as well as students had the opportunity to submit questions and queries. At the same time, a very fruitful discussion on educational and pedagogical issues took place.
The whole information programme for parents/guardians and students will be completed with the following two evening meetings with the following topics. The Process of Vocational Education - Career Prospects and Trends in the Labour Market[/I]
B) Studies in countries (mainly European) outside Cyprus and Greece
