The fire between the communities of Dora-Prastio-Musere of Limassol District is under partial control.
Nine vehicles from the Fire Service, four vehicles of the Forestry Department and two private canvas trucks were mobilized to extinguish the fire. The ground firefighting forces were reinforced with water drops from the Republic's two chartered helicopters.
The fire burned one hectare of dry grasses and wild vegetation in an inaccessible area.
2. The fire between the communities Stroubiou-Kathika of Paphos District is under partial control
The fire between the communities of Stroubiou-Kathika of Paphos District is under partial control.
Four vehicles from the Fire Service, one fire truck from the Forestry Department, one Portable Firefighting Unit from the Thera Service and two private canvas vehicles were mobilized to extinguish the fire. The ground fire-fighting forces were reinforced by water drops from the two chartered helicopters of the Republic and the police helicopter.
The fire burned an area of nine hectares of dry grass, wild vegetation and vines in an inaccessible area.
All ground forces will remain to extinguish the fires and standby at both fires.
The causes of the fires will be investigated in cooperation with the Police. The possibility of malicious action is not excluded.
