The Deputy Minister of State for Culture, Dr Vasiliki Kassianidou, is leaving for the Informal Council of Ministers of Culture, which will take place in Caceres, Spain.
During her presence there, the role of culture as a global public good and its inclusion as a separate objective in the Agenda for Sustainable Development after 2030 will be discussed.
At the same time, Ministers will have the opportunity to discuss methods and strategies as they emerge from the EU Work Programme for Culture 2023-2026, with the aim of promoting culture and cultural heritage in the modern environment.
After the Council, the Deputy Minister of Culture, as part of her bilateral contacts, will have a series of meetings with the directors of important cultural institutions and organisations in Madrid, such as the Queen Sofia National Museum of Art, the National Archaeological Museum, the Prado Museum and the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum.
