An official visit of Mr. Charalambos Christofinas, Commissioner for Development of Mountain Communities, took place today at the Headquarters of the Cyprus Agricultural Payments Agency (CAP).
Commissioner for Rural Payments Mr. Andreas Kyprianou informed the Commissioner for Development of Mountain Communities about the role, work and mission of the CFCA as well as about the action plan, vision and objectives of the Agency for the coming years.
The two Commissioners also discussed issues related to the agricultural economy, the problems that plague farmers/applicants and in particular the ways and methods to facilitate farmers in order to fully absorb all European Union funds related to agriculture.
Finally, the two sides focused on the joint effort of support, assistance and understanding towards the agricultural world of Cyprus in order for the Cypriot agricultural economy to flourish further and for our countryside to come alive again.
